Samuel Willcox (1742-1827) commanded a company at Bunker Hill and served under Arnold at Quebec. He was taken prisoner by the Indians, delivered to the British in New York, and confined on a prison ship until the close of the war. He was born in Peru, Mass.; died in Manlius, N. Y. Also No. 69412. William Frissell (1737-1825) served as ensign, lieutenant, and captain, 1780, in the Connecticut militia. He was born in Woodstock, Conn.; died in Peru, Mass. Nathaniel Cogswell (1714-1810) served as ensign in the Tenth Company or train band, 1778. He was born in Ipswich; died in Griswold, Mass. Also No. 40637. Asher Knight (1761-1825) served as private in Capt. John Carpenter's company of guards, 1779. He was born in Norwich; died in Stafford, Conn. Also No. 116779. Myndert De La Grange (1744-78) was commissioned 2d lieutenant in the 5th regiment, Albany County militia, Capt. Abraham Veeder's company. He was born and died in Albany County, N. Y. Zebidiah Scott (1741-94) served as private in the 6th battalion under Colonel Walworth, raised, 1776, to reinforce Washington. He was born in Coventry; died in Tolland, Conn. Ephraim Hyde (1746-1812) served as private under Capt. N. Heath and Major General Gates, 1778-79. He was born in Newton; died in Monson, Mass. Ebenezer Spencer (1721-96) was a member of the Committee in the town of East Haddam, Conn., 1774-78. He was born and died in East Haddam, Conn. [p.287] Jonathan Drury signed the Articles of Association. He was born in Framingham; died, 1820, in Worthington, Mass. William Davis served as private in the 8th regiment, Albany County militia, under Col. Robert Van Renesselear. He was born, 1762, in Danbury, Conn.; died in Canada. David Relye (Relyea), a patriot, signed the articles of Association, 1775, in Orange County. He was baptized, 1710, in Kingston; died in Albany County, N. Y. Benjamin Clark served as lieutenant in Capt Elijah Deming's company, Colonel Ashley's Berkshire County regiment. He was born, 1738, in Plainfield, Conn.; died in Sandisfield, Mass. Solomon Lamphear (1708-82) was a patriot who signed the Oath in Connecticut, 1777. He was born in Stonington; died in Mansfield, Conn. John Ferguson (1756-1817) served as private in Capt. Solomon Brown's company, Col. Elisha Porter's Hampshire County regiment. He was born and died in Blandford, Mass. John Knox (1720-1800), a patriot, served on committees of the town to assess taxes for the support of the Revolutionary War. He was probably born in Ireland; died in Blandford, Mass.
