In Irvington, Ill., Nov. 8th, 1876, at the residence of her son-in-law, Miles Ten Eyck, Mrs. Mary Kenyon Maxson, widow of David Maxson. She was born in Charlestown, R. I., in 1806, from which place she removed with her husband to Genesee, Allegany Co., N. Y., about the year 1830. In 1856, they removed to Washington county, Ill., where she has since resided. She was a member of the Baptist church in Irvington at the time of her death, and died in peace. With her children, many subjects of her unselfish benevolence, will remember her as a noble Christian wife and mother. D. D. B.
