Mary and George went on to have a son called James baptised at Cottered in 1777. They then had twins, John and George, the following year. Mary died shortly after giving birth to the twins. This baptism has been linked to the Mary Hadey who married George Males in 1775 on the basis that it is in the same parish in which she married and at a plausible time, and one of the witnesses to the marriage was a James Hadey, and the Mary baptised in 1756 had a brother called James, who was baptised at Cottered in 1754.
