Facts and Events
Name Mary Greenslade
Gender Female
Christening[1] 21 Apr 1822 Shobrooke, Devon, England
Census[2] 19 Jan 1841 Shobrooke, Devon, England

Mary Greenslade was baptised at Shobrooke in Devon on 21st April 1822, daughter of Susannah Greenslade. It is not clear what happened to Susannah; she may have died in 1826, or she may have married a dairy farmer named William May in 1829. Either way, Mary appears to have lived with her grandparents, Richard and Mary Greenslade.

Sadly Mary died as a young woman on 19th January 1841, aged probably 18 or 19, having been suffering with dropsy. Her grandfather Richard Greenslade was the informant for her death.

This death has been linked to the Mary baptised in 1822 on the basis that it is in the same parish, of roughly the right age, and the informant for the death was Richard Greenslade, which was the name of the Mary baptised in 1822's grandfather.
