  3. Between Feb (or Apr) 1879 and Apr (or Jun) 1880. In Feb 1879 she witnessed her step- daughter Jennie's marriage. Family tradition is that Minnie May was 5 when her mother died. In June 1880 she is 6 years old, living with her half-sister Jennie. In Joseph's Civil War pension application he states she died 1882, but that is probably wrong. She was receiving a pension from her 1st husband's Civil War death. The National Archives cannot tell when that pension stopped (which may or may not be the date of her death.)
