Mary Belle Dickson
d.Bef 1881
Facts and Events
Research notes
- Mary is age 11 on the 1850 US Census, age 20 on the 1860, and age 31 on the 1870. However, if she was a daughter of Nancy instead of Prudence, she would have been born probably before George's marriage to Prudence in 1837. Also, in the lawsuit by Martin Calvert against the heirs of John Calvert in Cooper County, Missouri in 1843, John Taylor is appointed the guardian for the infant children Elizabeth Dickson and James Dickson. Mary would have also been included if she was a daughter of Nancy. Based on the court record and Mary's age in the various censuses, I have concluded that Mary was the daughter of Prudence and not of Nancy.
