More information on Mary's descendents found in Family File: Jonathan Morehead - Miller.

Mary was born in Detroit, MI. Her mother Ellen was born in Canada. She moved to the Weston area as a little girl. She was a member of the Antioch Church and the Relief Corps. Mary loved her home. She was loved by all that knew her. Mary's son John C. and grandson Clarence were living at home at the time of her death. Allen was residing in Sidney at this time but must have moved back to Wood Co. shortly afterwards, because he died a year later in Wood Co. During the civil war Alfred was seriously ill. Mary traveled to the Ohio River, took a boat to New Albany, IN. where Alfred was and nursed him back to health. She also nursed the man next to Alfred. She was known as the GREAT WHITE WOMAN for her efforts. Mary had red hair. Alfred's pension papers state that his wife nursed him there. Mary's siblings were Spencer, John who died at Chickamauga, Filmore, Georgianna, Ruth, Jesse, and William. She is not listed as having a specific grave site in The Weston Cemeteries. I have found that where Alfred is buried are 6 grave sites. She no doubt is next to Alfred. Their unknown daughter, Allen E. and maybe Clayton Miller are all there. There is no way to know. There are no records. The plot was originally bought for the family I'm sure.
