John Hill of Dorchester, Mass., 1633, p. 53, which lists the children in the Cook family but does not say who Mary married; and Source:Rockwood, Vivian Valera. Descendants Richard Rockwood, Vol. 1, p. 35, which has not been inspected. It notes that "The probate of Nicholas Cook, 1730, Bellingham does not identify daughters" [Suffolk file 6034, 15:233, 235-8; 28:431]. So the basis is unknown, but seems probable based on being the only Mary Cook of appropriate birth born in Mendon.]
