  3.   George Howe and his wife Mary are mentioned in probate documents for John Gott Brigham. Source:Hudson, Charles. History of the Town of Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts : From Its First Settlement in 1657 to 1861; with a Brief Sketch, p. 391, says George Howe, s/o Lovewell Howe and Patty Parker, b. 3 Jun 1787, m. 17 Oct 1816 Mary Brigham. At this point, one suspects an unrecorded daughter, but the death record makes it clear that the Mary Brigham was John Gott Brigham's widow (the age at death is nearly perfect, and the birth location matches). This changes the problem, making the identification of George doubtful, given that, in 1816, she is 51 compared to his 29.
