At her request, funeral services will not be held. Cremation will be by Pyramid Cremations. Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Waber was born Feb. 11, 1924, in Otsego, Mich., to Frederick Carroll and the former Elsie Bernice Thompson. After graduating from high school, she married her lifelong mate Richard Frederick Waber on June 3, 1944, in Otsego. They moved to Klamath Falls on Dec. 20, 1970. Mrs. Waber was a lifetime homemaker and also an active volunteer with many organizations, including the Klamath Humane Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society and Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church. She loved working in the community and all animals and devoted much of her life to their protection and welfare. Among her survivors are her children Robert Waber of Boulder, Colo., David Waber of Klamath Falls and Carol Kidder and Judy Axelson of Portland; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 30, 1988, and daughter Mary Catherine. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Klamath Humane Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society or Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church.
