Mary's birth year is a bit uncertain. In the 1900 census her birth date is said to be Nov 1841. On her d/c the record says Nov 21, 1840. I'm assuming that IF she gave the info in 1900, it may be more reliable than the informant's info in 1926. Either date is subject to someone's memory.

By 1917 when her son Silas signed his WWI Draft Registration, Mary was living with him in San Diego, San Diego County, California. I think I found her on the 1920 census as a boarder in Los Angeles, CA, but cannot prove this is the right Mary Jackson. She died back in Carthage, Jasper Co., Missouri in 1926 per her Missouri death certificate. Her daughter, Nellie, Mrs. Frank Moore was the informant. She was buried in Park Cemetery, though as of Jun 2010 it does not show on the find-a-grave site.
