Her parents were Pelatiah Bliss, born 1697 in Conn. and Sarah Harris, daughter of James Harris and Sarah Rogers, born September 27, 1697 in New London, New London, Conn. She had a sister, Thankful as well as a brother Pelatiah (there were others as well), who married Elizabeth Harris, born 1738 in Salem, New London, Conn.
