Mary and James Russell's son William M. was buried in Indian Mound Cemetery in Romney, Hampshire County, West Virginia in 1934. His death certificate stated that his parents were Mary Warden Baker and James Alexander Russell.

1900 census (June 16) for Shawnee Dist., Frederick County, Virginia: residence of Annie Hack, born Aug. 1854 in Virginia; daughter Mary R., born Nov 1877 in W. Virginia; five servants; and Mary W. Russell, mother, born Feb. 1818 in Virginia, 3 of 10 children surviving; parents born Virginia. Should the census have said "Feb. 1819"?

There is a 1902 burial record at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Winchester for Mary Warden Russell. She is in Lot 616 with other family members. The burial record said that she was born on Feb. 22, 1879 (sic). There is a photo of the grave marker at Mount Hebron for "Mary Warden Russell" with her date of birth (February 22, 1819) and date of death (Feb. 1, 1902) (source: findagrave.com).
