Mary Louise Antritter (Aunt Marie) was raised by her mother's sister, Marie Louise Winterbauer who was called Aunt Pfefferle. Karoline let Aunt Pfefferle raise Mary Louise because she had no children of her own (they had all died in infancy). Aunt Pfefferle was a hypochondriac.
Mary Louise (Aunt Marie) and her husband Phillip didn't get along very well later in life. He made the remark that first it was one pillow...then two pillows....then two beds...then two rooms....and he wasn't sure, but it might end up as two houses.
