    Helen (Cortelyou) Stults mar. second Martin Blodgett (Solomon6, Joseph5,4, Thomas3, Samuel2, Thomas1 Blodgett) for his second wife ca. 1817 or 1818. He was the son of Solomon Blodgett and his wife Hepzibah Brown and was b. 10 Oct. 1782 at Brimfield, Mass., and d. at Gorham, Ontario Co., N.Y. 20 Jan. 1861; and was bur. in Fobes or Baldwin Corners Cem. in Town of Gorham. He came to New York State about 1787-1790 to near Clinton, Oneida Co., where he m. Philena Rice about 1806. Later he moved to Gorham, Ontario Co., N.Y. He was a soldier in the French and Indian War. He and Philena had children, Amanda b. 1808, Ansel b. 1811, Melinda b. 1812, Elvira b. 1814, Martin Jr. b. 1815. Of these children, Melinda who mar. William Johnson, Elvira who mar. Myron Morris, and Martin, Jr. who never married all died in Huron Co., Ohio.
