Services for Mrs. Martha E. "Mattie" Thomas, 83, of 419 W. Fourth St., Nescopeck will be held Tuesday at 11am. from the Heller Funeral Home, Nescopeck, with her pastor, the Rev. Edward Prowant, officiating. Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Mrs. Thomas died Firday at 7:45 p.o. in the emergency room at Berwick Hospital following an apparent heart attack at her home. She was born in Mount Carmel on Sept. 21, 1902, a daughter of the late Albert and Mae (Rothermel) Rupp. She lived in Nescopeck most of her life and was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Nescopeck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Authur C. Thomas, on March 11, 1978. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George (Jacqueline) Dipple of Oakland, NJ: two grandchildren and a great-grandson: and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Meyers, with whom she resided
