4. GEORGE3 CONN (George2, John1), of Harvard, Mass., yeoman, born probably at Harvard, died at Milford, N.H. He married (intention recorded at Harvard and Shirley, Mass., 24 Nov. 1770) MARTHA KELSEY of Shirley (or Derry, N.H.). (Cf. Vital Records of Shirley and Vital Records of Harvard, both printed.)
At the reseating of the Harvard meeting house on 2 Jan. 1775 he and his wife were seated in the side gallery pew. (Nourse's History of Harvard, p. 206.) On 7 Mar. 1792 he bought of John Kelsey of Shirley, gentleman, and Moly Kelsey, for thirty pounds, lawful money, 13 1/2 acres of land situated in the easterly part of Shirley (Middlesex Deeds, vol. 110, p. 129).

(2) SOPHIA -----, who survived him and was living 25 Aug. 1818. He was of Charlestown as early as 10 June 1796 (Middlesex Deeds, vol. 125, p. 471, and vol. 130, p. 104). On 28 Aug. 1818 Abraham Howe of Marlborough, Mass., was appointed administrator of the estate of Thomas Conn, late of Charlestown, Middlesex Co., Mass., housewright, deceased, intestate within one year past, leaving a widow but no children, the widow, Sophia Conn, having petitioned on 25 Aug. 1818 that the said Howe be appointed administrator. In his bond for $20,000, dated 28 Aug. 1818, Abraham Howe is called a gentleman, and George Conn of Charlestown, Middlesex Co., housewright, was one of his sureties.

iv. GEORGE, of Charlestown, Mass., housewright, b. 11 Mar. 1777; d. 8 May 1822; m. 25 Oct. 1803, MARY GOULD, who survived him. On 20 Aug. 1822 Mary Conn of Charlestown, Middlesex Co., widow, was appointed administratrix of the estate of her late husband, George Conn of Charlestown, housewright, who had died intestate "within six months last past", leaving the widow and minor children only. The administratrix gave a bond for $30,000. Inventory, $492.27. On 18 Feb. 1823 the wideow was allowed to have articles up for $350 in value, and on 20 Aug. 1823 her account as administratrix was allowwd. (Middlesex Probate Files, 4909.)
