  2.   Source:Jewett, Frederic Clarke. History and Genealogy of the Jewetts of America says, on Vol. 1, p. 50, that Martha (Hobson) (Jewett) Smith d. 13 Jan 1744. On Vol. 2, p. 961, he says she died 13 Jan 1774. There is no death record for the first date, while the death record for the second is for widow "Marcy" Smith. The second date is also given by Source:Jewett, Amos Everett. Early Settlers of Rowley, Massachusetts (1933). She was apparently alive 31 Oct 1769 when she submitted an accounting for her 2nd husband's estate.
