Mrs. Floyd Smith, 84, lifelong resident of Winnebago county, died April 12 in her Rockford home, 408 North Horace avenue, after a week's illness. Born in Rockton township, May 14, 1860, Mrs. Smith, the former Martha Elizabeth Graham, was the daughter of Henry and Eleanor Foster Graham. She was educated in the district school and Rockford high school. She married the late Floyd Smith on June 9, 1881. Her husband died May 12, 1916. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Frank Bainbridge, Owen; Mrs. Edward P. McGeachie, Rockford; Mrs. Neil H. Gale, Burritt; eight grandchildren: 15 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. J. H. Keagle, Naperville. Three brothers and three sisters died previously. She was a member of the Second Congregational church, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Woman's Relief Corps.
