There does not appear to be any evidence to support this. Her race is given as White in the 1880 census[2]. It is possible that OneWorldTree amalgamated her record with that of another person.

Note: The ancestry given here (daughter of Daniel Barfield and a daughter of unknown Blalock and Elizabeth Woodard) is replicated from an Ancestry Public Member Tree, but doesn't appear to be very sound. No sources were given. It is possible that 2 or more families have been confused and/or a generation is missing.
