    Mark Dempsey, was born abt 1750-55 and married Caty Wagoner in Poughkeepsie 14 April 1776. (PRCh). Mark Dimsey was 1st Seergt, in Capt. Bernardus Swartwout's Company of Militia in Coll. John Freer's Regiment 6 June 1778. He was taxed Poughkeepsie Precinct from 1775 through 1778 and was there in 1790 at 1-2-5 and was between Hendrick Hermanse and Aaron Romar. There are no local records for deaths or burials for this family,
