Pierre [Benoit], called Pierre l'aîné, born in c1675, married Marie, daughter of Michel Forest, at Port-Royal in c1695. They had five children, including two sons who married into the Lejeune and Gaudet families. One of their daughters married into the Hamet family. One son moved across the river at Pigiguit to the parish of Ste.-Famille and then on to Île St.-Jean, today's Prince Edward Island, in c1749, before moving again to Baie des Espangnols on Île Royale, today's Cape Breton Island, in the early 1750s, probably to escape British rule. Pierre l'aîné's other son remained at Pigiguit. Link to entry on Acadiansingray.com
