Helen Passed away at her home in Millgrove, NY (just southeast of the Village of Portville) after a long illness. She was born on Deer Creek May 22, 1867. On October 6, 1886 she married Porter L. Hanks who survived her along with two sons, Deyrl of Deer Creek and Guy of Portville; One daughter, Lena of Portville; Four brothers, Leroy Frair, John Frair and Floyd Frair, of Deer Creek and Giles Frair of Richburg, NY; Two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Hatch of Deer Creek and Mrs. Mary Stoneman of Friendship, NY. The funeral was held at her home on March 29, 1917.
