Other trees that give her a maiden name say she was Margaret Shreve, but there appears to be no evidence for that. She may be the Margaret Ice, age 76, living as a boarder with Harmon and Gurthe Shreve in the 1910 census^[3], but that does not mean she was their relative - in particular, she could not have been the sister of Harmon's father, Absalom, based on dates.

Her date of death could not be found (using online sources). If she was the Margaret Ice in the 1910 census (who had had 12 children, only 2 of whom were still living*), and her husband was the Jesse Ice who married Rachel Jane (Barker) (Shreve) in 1896, then Margaret and Jesse were divorced.

* Or 2 of whom had died - some women misinterpreted the question and gave the number of children who had died.
