08/25/2003Received a diary written by Maggie Lancaster who is a granddaughter of Mary Herrmann Lancaster. Mary, Christopher Herrmann's daughter, married Charles E. Lancaster. The dairy was written in1884 while they were in Nevada and San Francisco California. Maggie must have been about 14 as she wrote the diary and it's fascinating reading.

I also received photos of Mary Herrmann Lancaster and her family.

Laura Allen Chasty a third cousin of mine who lives in Santa Maria California who I met via the Internet sent all these things. The items were gold mine for my Herrmann genealogy.
