Cousin to Margaret Charles (1906) and Elizabeth Charles (1896) and witnesses at their weddings. Based on her being at the 1896 wedding, she must have emigrated prior to 1896.

Entered the Novitiate of the Dominican Congregation of Our Lady of the Rosary on 15 Feb 1911. Received the Dominican habit on 15 Aug 1911. Professed her first vows 15 Aug 1912. Took the name Sister M De Ricci

She cared for children at Holy Rosary Convent in New York City, St. Joseph Home in the Bronx, and at St. Agnes in Sparkill.

St. Agnes Home for Boys: One history says: "In 1884 a three story, 19-room farmhouse (that was once a summer hotel) and some 30 acres of property were purchased, four sisters and 25 boys took up residence, and St. Agnes was born). There are other dates and other versions, 1904, 1905, but we should leave all that to whoever/whatever is put on the web site, good material for lots of stories anyway. The "termination" date is less controversial, "St. Agnes Home, a five-story Gothic structure with stained-glass windows and multi turrets, was demolished beginning on October 25, 1979. (The towering smokestack and power house were the last structures to be leveled in January 1980)."
