    The Clinton Herald Tuesday October 16, 1990 p. 12 Margaret CarneyPinney, 86, formerly of 1400 Caroline Ave., died Saturday at herapartment in Friendship Manor, Rock Island, Ill. A memorial service will10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. John I.Kilby officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeralhour at the church. Inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery. ClintonChapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements. Mrs.Pinney's husband was the late Byron R. Pinney who was chairman of thePinney Printing Company at the time of his death in 1983. Mrs. Pinneyand her husband moved from Clinton to Naples, Fla. in 1976 after havingwintered there since 1960. Mrs. Pinney was born Nov. 13, 1903, inProphetstown, Ill. She lived with her parents on a farm near Erie, Ill.She attended the University of Illinois and became a school teacher. Shemarried Byron R. Pinney May 25, 1927. He died in July of 1983. She was amember of Grace Episcopal Church and was involved for many years innumerous Clinton community organizations. She especially enjoyed herservice as president of Clinton Visiting Nurses Association. She enjoyedher association with the Clinton Public Library and was a member ofP.E.O. Chapter H.V. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Arp ofMoline and Margo Norris of Detroit, Mich.; a son, John Pinney ofCincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Deathdate: Oct. 13, 1990.
