Marah Weld, bp. Roxbury 2 August 1646 ("Marah Weld the daughter of Mr. Joseph Weld now in great affliction by a sore on his tongue" [RChR 117]. … (A manuscript copy of the Roxbury vital records has this child born on 2 August 1645 [RVR MS 5; Parker Ruggles 502]. This may be doubted for two reasons. First, the supposed birthdate is the same day and month but one year earlier than the baptism. second, the supposed birthdate is less than six months after the birthdate of the next older child.
