Daily Times-News, The Monday, July 24, 1972 Mrs.. Maggie Theresa Fogleman Shoffner, 88, formerly of 717 E. Morehead St., died Sun- day night at 6 o'clock in a hospital following several years of declining health and one day of critical illness. A native of Alamance County, she was the widow of Jesse G. Shoffner who died in 1963. She was a retired piano teacher and a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church where she was an active member of the Sunday School, Circle and choir for many years. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.. Drusilla ISLEY of Burlington; a son, Walter Reynolds Shoffner of Graham; a sister, Mrs.. L.W. Riley of Burlington; four granddaughters and 10 great-grandchildren. Final rites will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Macedonia Lutheran Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Ralph Wallace, pas- tor, and the Rev. Earl K. Bod- ie, associate pastor. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. The body will remain at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Bur- lington until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the funeral. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock. At other times, the family will be at the home of the daughter, Mrs.. Phillip ISLEY of 405 Trail 8.
