Mabel reports on the 1910 census that her father was born in Ohio and her mother born in Ill . "Some years after Dorothy and Kenneth [Webster] had married and were living in Chicago , Mabel had the courage to start a new life. She moved to an apartment near Dorothy and go t work in a dress shop where she could use her very able talent of sewing. She relaxed and c ould enjoy her work." Laura Emmert [a favorite family historian] also marvels at how brave s he was to start traveling at age 75. "She was a woman with a small body but I shall always r emember her as large with love." Mabel died in 1969 and is buried in Rittgers Cemetery, Johnston , Ia. At the time of her death her residence was listed as "Downers Grove, Du Page Co., Ill."
