Facts and Events
Name Lydia Jackson
Gender Female
Birth[1][2] 15 Feb 1814 Georgia, United States
Marriage 22 Jan 1829 Lawrenceville, Gwinnett Co., Georgia, United Statesto William Myers
Death[3] 28 Jan 1888 Trion, Chattooga Co., Georgia, United States

Lydia married her cousin, William Myers, son of Mahala Jackson and Carney Myers, so Lydia's husband also was a grandson of Edward Jackson and Charity Hill.

The following obituary was found on the Find-a-Grave site, memorial for her grandfather Edward Jackson, Memorial# 25665823: "The following is the obituary of his grandaughter Lydia Myers from the Walker County Messenger, February 9, 1888. "Mrs. Lydia Myers, who died at the residence of her son G. B. Myers on the 28th (Jan.) in the 75th year of her age, was the daughter of David Jackson, and the granddaughter of the revolutionary soldier Edward Jackson, who is buried on the Marsh Place (Poe Cemetery) above Trion."

The Memorial #31485892 for Lydia does not have this obituary and has a different year for date of death: 2 Jan 1882. There is a photo of the gravemarker which looks like it could be 1888 which would agree with her obituary. The memorial owner has been contacted. Lydia's birth date is also not taken from this memorial; it is taken from the SAR records. Lydia's son Green Berry Myers was living in Trion, Chattooga, Georgia on both the 1880 and 1900 census; therefore, it is assumed that is the location for Lydia's death.
