According to a December 2002 email from Mr. Jeffrey Jewell, of Louisville, KY, Lusanna was listed in the 1920 McLean County, Illinois census (City of Bloomington, ED 965, sheet 5B) as the wife of Emmett Birch RISEN, white, age 42, born in KY, as were both of her parents. The same email states that "Zanie" (Lusanna) is mentioned in a 1941 Green County, KY Circuit Court lawsuit (#3013) which settled the estate of her brother-n-law John W. Thomas, who died intestate. Lusanna was reported as being given 1/10 of her brother's estate. Lusanna's City of residence was listed in an Affidavit of Descent (Deed Book 70, ppg 388 & 389, Green County, KY)
