Mrs. Helen Lauretta Ellems Wight. DAR ID Number: 97292 Born in Rockland, Me. Wife of Pearl Wight. Descendant of Lieut. Zadock Brewster, as follows: 1. Ira Brewster Ellems (1824-93) m. 1847 Caroline H. Getchell (1827-1901). 2. John Ellems (1766-1843) m. 1818 Lucy Ann Brewster (1795-1877). 3. Zadock Brewster m. 2nd 1779 Lucy Knight (b. 1750). Zadock Brewster (1742-1811) enlisted, 1776, serving as lieutenant of Capt. Theophilus Stanton's row galley ?Shark,? Connecticut sea service. In 1838 his widow applied for a pension, which was granted. He was born in Duxbury, Mass.; died in Rockland, Me.

  William Brewster, who was born in Old England, came to New England in the first ship in 1620, and became Ruling Elder in the Plymouth Colony. He brought with him his son Truelove who had a son William who had a son Nathaniel whose son Joseph was the father of Zadoc.
