I have never found any proof that Lucinda's maiden name was CLARK. Does someone out there have that proof?--IckyVicki 04:30, 27 November 2014 (UTC)

There are several pieces of circumstantial evidence linking Lucinda Hazard to the Clark family. Timothy Clark was named an administrator of Lucinda Hazard's estate in 1853, along with her son Samuel Hazard. Timothy Clark was also born in Connecticut, like Lucinda, then lived in Montgomery County, New York in the early 19th century, then moved to Collins, Erie, New York in 1816. Timothy Clark and Lucinda Hazard both had children who moved to Bloomfield, Waushara, Wisconsin. Timothy's son Perry moved there c. 1857, while Almira (Hazard) Albee died there in 1863. Almira also named her son Perry. I suspect that Lucinda and Timothy Clark were close relatives, but I haven't found the link yet. She was about 25 years older than him, so probably not his sister. Aunt perhaps? There was a Lucindia Clark born to Daniel and Mary (Baker) Clark in Lyme Twp., New London, Connecticut on Jan. 24, 1769. (Other than a Lucy Clark born in Canaan, Litchfield, Connecticut, no other person with a similar name is listed in "Connecticut Births and Christenings" between 1768-1773.) I have seen Timothy Clark's birthplace given as New London County, Connecticut, but no source given. Timothy Clark was married in Charleston, Montgomery, New York in 1814. Perhaps records in Lyme or Charleston will eventually shed some light. I am trying to trace Timothy Clark's ancestry; hopefully the connection to Lucinda will lead to a breakthrough.
