1989-Lucinda has traveled in the US and Canada; hobbies are knitting, crocheting, caving, visiting historical sites, and camping. She hopes to reside in northern PA some day and continue to travel with her granddaughter.

Born in Port Carbon, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Stokes) Beck.

She was a graduate of Myerstown High School, Myerstown, Pa. and the nursing (LPN) program at Crownsville State Hospital, Crownsville, Md.

Lucinda was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Harold Conrad Clark, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Hillesland and Adelaide Beck. She is survived by four children, Harold (late Mary Frances) Clark, Jr. of Lincoln, Ala., Regina (Walter) Roy of Hampstead, Md., Guy (Christine) Clark of Binghamton, NY and Dawn (John) Love of Lebanon, Pa., also seven grandchildren, one nephew and two nieces.

Mrs. Clark was in various types of nursing, including employment at Anne Arundel General Hospital, Annapolis, Md., retiring from nursing in 1977. After her husband retired in 1986 from the “Washington Post” newspaper, the couple moved to one home in Meyersdale, Pa. (her childhood neighborhood) where he bought the local paper “The Republic”. After his passing in 1987, she took ownership until the weekly paper was sold in 1991.

“Cindy” was a very generous and spiritual woman, who in the late 1960’s was prefect of the Women’s Sodality at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Severna Park, Md. “Cindy” also enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adeline’s, Chapter #2011 of Dundalk, Md., who won several regional championships. She also enjoyed her dogs, embroidery, spiritual reading but most of all her beloved family.

Friends will be received at Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, Pa. on Thursday, December 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, December 6th at 10 a.m. at the William Rowe Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, Pa. Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday, December 6th at 11 a.m. at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale, Pa., followed by interment in the church cemetery.
