    Article Title: "Reunion ends in Death"

    Louisa and her Husband John De Mots of Ocean Cove, CA, John's brother Edward De Mots of Ocean Cove, Dr. and Mrs James A. Ogg of Orange City, IA, and Mrs. Conrad Jongewaard (John and Louisa's daugher)of Merced, CA were killed in an automobile accident near Selma, CA when their car collided with a passenger train from Southern Pacific Railway. Mrs. Ogg was a sister of John and Edward De Mots. The newspaper account describes all three men as "careful and conservative men" not likely to beat a train to the crossing. The crossing was also described as not having any visual obstructions.
