    Lois Boniface
    1923-2006

    Mrs. Lois E. Boniface, 83, of LaPorte, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at Fountainview Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LaPorte.

    She was born Sept. 15, 1923, in Knox to Herman and Verda (Lain) Bechtel, and had lived most of her life in the LaPorte area.

    Mrs. Boniface was a custodian at Galena School for 13 years, retiring in 1990.

    On May 30, 1942, in LaPorte, she married Harold L. Boniface, who died June 17, 1994.

    Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Lloyd Upp.

    Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Daedone of Michigan City; one son, Larry (Jill) of LaPorte; three grandchildren, Chance, Cole and Cami Boniface; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Betty Wallen of Hamlet and Rosalee Bright and Donna Troy, both of Rolling Prairie.

    The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Ransom Ebersole officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Rolling Prairie Cemetery.
