Linda Gaye Scheideman Meyers, 53, a lifelong resident of Lodi, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 13, 2006. Linda was born at Dameron Hospital in Stockton, August 28, 1952 to George and Kathie Scheideman. She was a graduate of Lodi Academy in 1971, where she was valedictorian. She attended Pacific Union College 1972 and 1973 in Angwin, CA and graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dental Hygiene in 1975. She married Ken Meyers in 1981. Linda worked as a dental hygienist for 15 years and was the business manager for Meyers Optical in Stockton for 17 years. Linda was an avid gardener and helped many friends develop a passion for gardening. She loved traveling and spending time with family and friends, especially at the beach when she wasn't planting flowers in her garden. Linda also loved Sheltie Sheep Dogs, and they were her constant companions throughout her life. Linda was a volunteer at the Haggin Museum, supporter of Junior Aid and St. Mary's Dining Hall and was a former member of the Stockton Sailing Club. She was a member of the Fairmont Seventh-day Adventist Church.
