Herald-Sun, The (Durham, NC) - November 9, 1995 Deceased Name: BURLINGTON -- Mrs. Lillie Isley Bailey BURLINGTON -- Mrs. Lillie Isley Bailey, 103, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Oak Haven Retirement Center in Durham.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late John Alson and Martha Graves Isley. She was a member of Spring Valley United Methodist Church in Vance County.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM Friday at Alamance Memorial Park by the Rev. Bill Cottingham.

Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Betty Bailey Jones of Elon College; son, Mr. Emmett N. Bailey Jr. of Vance Co.; sister, Mrs. Viola Anderson of Tallahassee, FL; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughters, Mrs. Ruth Scholl and Mrs. Beatrice Chewning; sisters, Mrs. Lois Neese, Mrs. Ora Crabtree and Mrs. Elma Bason; and brother, Mr. Bill Isley.

The family will be at the daughter's, Mrs. Betty Jomes, residence, 700 Veteran's Dr., Elon College.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Elon College Building Fund, 1630 Westbrook Ave., Elon College, NC 27244.
