Lila C. Reed. 97, formerly of Everett Road, died Wednesday evening at Bethesda Care Center.

Lila was born in Gibsonburg to the now-deceased Robert and Hattie Mae (Roberts) Cunningham. In 1926, she married Mearl Reed in Gibsonburg. Mearl preceded in 1965.

Lila is survived by son, Dalton "Joe" (Monna) Reed of Fremont; grandchildren, Janie Jo (Kevin) Fisher, Dennis (Nancy) Reed, Steve (Cindy) Reed, Terri (Tom) Warwick, Debi (Todd) Ayers and Darlene (Larry) Lothotzki, nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dawn Polter of Tucson, Ariz.; and brother, Bob (Jeanne) Cunningham of Fremont. Lila was preceded in death by son, Melvin "Dick" Reed, sisters, Elethia Weigman, Bee Clay, Vivian Smith, Glodean Hoffman, and Gaye Ebersole, along with brothers, Ransome, Halcyon and Bernard Cunningham.

Lila was a member of First United Church of Christ, VFW Auxiliary, Ladies of the Moose and the Eastern Star.

She was employed by Union Carbide Corp. for 24 years, retiring in 1969.

Lila enjoyed crafts, sewing and doll making.

Visitation: 4 to 9 p.m. today at Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Elaine Bast officiating.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorials: First United Church of Christ or Bethesda Care Center.
