A biography of Lewis Mead Seaver was included in the book "Encyclopedia, Vermont Biography: A Series of Authentic Biographical Sketches of the Representative Men of Vermont and Other States: 1912," by Prentiss C. Dodge, Ullery Publishing Company, Burlington, Vt, 1912 (page 308). It reads:

"SEAVER, Lewis Mead, late of Williamstown. Born Williamstown, July 3, 1848; died Williamstown, Oct. 17, 1911; son of Ebenezer and Sophronia (Jillson) Seaver. Educated in the public schools of his native town. In 1882 married Mary Abdell of Indiana, who died in 1900; they had one daughter, Louie S. (Mrs. Walter B. Simons); in 1904 married Musette Hollobaugh of Washington, Pa.; they had three children, Harrison Mead, Esther Holly, and Rebecca Rosette. When 16 years old went to Chicago with his widowed mother and engaged in newspaper publishing; removed to New York and engaged in advertising business; in 1890 purchased the home farm in Williamstown, later becoming secretary-treasurer National Humane Alliance in New York, holding office 14 years; partner with Charles M. Seaver in grain and feed business. A Republican; school director 1904-7; town agent 1906; selectman nearly three years, and first selectman at the time of his death; represented Williamstown in Legislature 1908; senator from Washington County 1910. Affiliated with the Congregational Church."

Seaver (son, male, white, age 13, single, born VT, father born VT, mother born PA), Esther H. Seaver (daughter, female, white, age 12, single, born VT, father born VT, mother born PA) and Rebecca R. Seaver (daughter, female, white, age 10, single, born VT, father born VT, mother born PA) [National Archives Microfilm Series T625, Roll 1873, Page 180, ED 49, Sheet 1, Line 43-46].

In the 1930 US Census, Mussette Seaver (head, female, white, age 55, widowed, born PA, parents born PA) and daughter Rebecca Seaver (female, white, age 20, single, born VT, father born VT, mother born PA) resided at 240 Loomis Street in Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont [National Archives Microfilm Series T626, Roll 2427, ED 3, Page 16B, Dwelling #311, Family #374].
