Aunt Lottie married Lester Joy and had Harry - just the one child - to my knowledge. She married Lett who was a harness maker, and followed this trade until the last harness shop closed in Marshalltown in about 1923?? (Actually must have been 1921 or earlier.) He then worked at the Marshall Canning Co. in the warehouse until he was disabled after a pile of canned goods in cartons fell on him. Later he worked at the local pool hall - until his death in 1939 - death - a heart attack after he dug his car out of a snowdrift in the alley behind his house where his car was located.

  10. His draft card says he's ineligible due to "rupture" but doesn't say what was ruptured... disc in his back? His eye? His kidney?
