Sprinkle died in Shelbyville, Shelby countyMissouri in 1890, this obituary appeared in the Shelby County Herald c.1890: 'Robert Sprinkle, living 8 miles west of this place, died very suddenlylast Friday, Oct. 17, 1890. He had been in poor health all the pastsummer but was feeling better than usual on Friday and insisted that heshould be allowed to do some work about the house. Toward night he beganto feel worse and about 7'o clock while standing in the room near is wifehe fell to the floor dead. His wife thinks he never breathed afterfalling. His remains were kept until Sunday when they were taken toShelbina for burial. We understand he ws formerly a business man atShelbina. He leaves a wife and two children. Heart disease is thesupposed cause of death.' >Robert Sprinkle owned and operated with a partner Mr. Robinson a drygoods shop in Shelbina.< >Leona had two brothers, Robert Priest Sprinkle b. Sprinkle, who is found living with Leonaand Benjamin in 1900 in Cabell county West Virginia and in 1910 inHarrison county West Virginia, he was a dentis. Have no furtherinformation on him after 1910.< >Leona P. Sprinkle was the daughter of Robert M. Sprinkle and Mary E.Priest. Mary E. Priest was the daughter of Madison J. Priest and SarahVandiver.
