BOONS4: Leona Catherine Boon of 203-248-8th Street passed away suddenly on Dec. 27, 1986 at the Brandon General Hospital. Born October 1903, daughter of Emma and James Barnes of Souris, Man., her life was spent at Souris until 1951. She then resided in several cities until making Brandon her home. Mrs. Boon was predeceased by her mother at an early age, her father and an infant brother. She was also predeceased by her first husband Harry Moffat in 1951, her second husband Judson Boon in 1962 and her only daughter Helen and husband Carswell Blight in 1975. Also predeceasing her were: a brother, two sisters, three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law. Surviving are: two sisters, Mrs. E.B. Irving of Brandon and Mrs. Harry Lacey of Winnipeg; two grandsons, Don Blight of Prince George, B.C., James Blight of Kelowna and their families as well as several nieces and nephews and their families. Funeral service will be held at the Brockie-Donovan Chapel on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1986 at 1 p.m. Rev. Richard Sand will officiate. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Souris, Man. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Manitoba Heart Fund, 42 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon.
