Leo M. Glaser, 81, of Ennoble Manor, formerly of 4040 Sunlight Ridge, died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Ennoble Manor surrounded by his family Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Resurrection Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa, where military rites will be accorded by Dubuque Marine Corps League. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 26, at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road. He was born June 19, 1926, in Dubuque, son of Leo and Henrietta (Nigg) Glaser. He graduated from Loras Academy and served in the Army during World War II. He married Shirley Bughman on Nov. 27, 1947; she preceded him in death on May 23, 1984. He then married Ann Goodin on November 1986; she preceded him in death on July 7, 2007. Leo worked as a press operator at William C. Brown Publishing for more than 30 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a longtime member of the Church of the Resurrection. Leo enjoyed golfing, any handyman projects and spending time with his children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and his beloved dog, Wally. Surviving are six children, Steven Glaser, of Dubuque, Barb Mallaro, of Dubuque, Debra (Denis) Ehlers, of East Dubuque, Ill., Kim (Randy Reinhardt) Ronek, of Dubuque, Robert (Kimberly) Glaser, of Dubuque, and Connie (William Trifone) Glaser, of Dubuque; a step son, Rick (Roxanne) Goodin; 16 grandchildren, Megan (Jared) Schmitt, Jesse Glaser, Stephanie Mallaro, Nicole (Jason) Long, Nina Mallaro, Jed, Amanda and Ashleigh Freiburger, Jaime (Brian) Bahl, Jacob (Tiffany) Ehlers, Heather (Christopher) Rath, Jeff Ronek, Ryan, Mitchell and Grant Glaser, and Jade Goodin; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law. He also was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harlan and Gene Glaser; two sisters, Jan Roach and Yvonne Glaser; a grandson, Andrew Glaser; and a son-in-law, Rod Mallaro. A Leo M.
