LENORE KATHRYN HOUSEL New Republic, July 18, 1996 

   Lenore Kathryn Housel, 88, of West Chester, Pa., died Sunday, July 7, 1996, at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia.  Born in Meyersdale, she was the daughter of the late Harvey A. and Alice (Hostetler) Housel.  She was a teacher in the West Chester School District at the High Street and Pierce Schools from 1946 to 1971.  She also taught in Somerset County schools from 1926 to 1946. She was a graduate of Meyersdale High School and California State Teachers College, and she received her master's degree from Temple University. She was a member of the Hostetler Church of the Brethren in Meyersdale.
