Mrs. Leila B. Ruland Dies at Residence.
Mrs. Leila Benson Ruland, 78, wife of the late E. P. H. Ruland, died yesterday morning at her residence, 915 Carolina avenue, North Augusta, after an extended illness. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Platt's Funeral Home. Mrs. Ruland was a native of Augusta and well known throughout the city. For many years she was prominently identified in church and civic work here. Her husband was one of Augusta's most prominent business men before his death some years ago. Survivors are two daughters: Miss Catherine E. Ruland. Chambersurg, PA, and Mrs. Clayre Ruland Forsyth. Labrador; one son Emory P. H. Ruland, Baltimore Md.; one grand-daughter, Miss Catherine Jean Ruland, Baltimore; a niece, Miss Jeanie Benson, North Augusta, and a nephew, Charles Benson, Baltimore.
