Death certificate claims d.o.b. is 1855, whereas headstone shows 1854. 1910 census supports a year of about 1855/1856, the 1900 census states Feb 1855, and the 1880 census suggest 1855, which are in agreement with the death certifiate. Based on the current available evidence, it appears that 1855 is the correct year of birth.
