Beard, Lawrence Wed Oct 15, 1952
Lawrence Beard, 72, retired farmer and resident of Roanoke, died Wed morning at the Martin convalescent home after an illness since Sept. 10.
Mr Beard was born August 14, 1880 in Whitley Co to Harvey and Elizabeth Beard.
Surviving are the widow, Ida Mae Beard, Roanoke, a dtr, Mrs. Jason Cormany, Roanoke, a step daughter Mrs Faye Ottinger, Whitley Co. A brother, Lima Beard, Whitley Co; a grand child and a step grandchild. A brother, a half=brother and two half sisters are dead.
Mr. Beard was a member of the Meth church at Roanoke.

Funeral servcies for Lawrence Beard were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lynch mortuary with the Rev. Virgil Bjork officiating.
Mrs. Hilford Berry sang with Mrs. Arthur Castor at the piano.
Flowerbearers were Mrs. Jack Hughes, Mrs. James Ambriola, Mrs. Dean Brown, Mrs. Walter Huston, Mrs. Fern Smith, and Mrs. Joe Schazer.
Pallbearers were Louis Watten, Jesse Wirts, Wayne Dennis, Jack Hughes, James Ambriole and Dean Brown.
Burial was in the I O OF cemetery
