  7. It is unclear what surname he was assigned at birth, nor who his biological father was. He could have been Albert Kreppein's son or the result of an affair. There is no reason to assume he was the son of David Fisher, but it is possible that he was.

    His mother may have been estranged from Albert well before she married David Fisher, as she uses her maiden name in her second marriage and claims it is her first. (Her parents are identified in both marriage records, so this is not a case of conflating 2 different Mildred Clark's.) Albert Kreppein was living in an army camp in the 1920 census, stating that he was married, so it is difficult to tell whether or not they were estranged by then.
